Hello everyone! The Executive Board and I are getting very excited about the upcoming 71st Annual Alumni Conference! I wanted to give everyone some updates and reminders! 

This year we have a Vendor Expo planned. There are still some spaces available for our vendor partners. If you have any vendor contacts, you believe would be beneficial, please provide them my information and encourage them to reach out. Spaces are filling up!

As a reminder, prior SPI courses are not required to come to the conference this year.  We want everyone to experience what  SPIAA has to offer!

Don't forget that each registered attendee will be entered into a drawing for a full tuition at SPI Administrative Officer's Course for their agency! This is a great opportunity for agencies to send someone to SPI. 

The guests' tickets will be available on the website soon! The conference committee is working with MEETNKY to organize some great afternoon activities for our guests and retired attendees! Some ideas being considered are the Newport Aquarium, a day of lunch and shopping, the museum, the Cincinnati Zoo, or bourbon tours just to name a few. Our area has some amazing activities!

There was incorrect information on the home page regarding the hotel costs. There will be no fee for parking at the Embassy and internet for the guest rooms will be complimentary!

We are looking forward to seeing everyone in July! Get your registrations in while seats are still available!

I am excited to announce to everyone, that with each registration (active/retired law enforcement) your name will be entered into a drawing for ONE FREE seat at an upcoming SPI AOC class. If your agency sends 5, your agency will have 5 entries for the drawing!

You are not required to have attended AOC or CODC to attend the conference. This is a great opportunity to see what SPIAA is all about!

This drawing will be held at the closing banquet. 

If you are a retired member, you will have the option to select the agency that will receive the free seat in your name!

To Our Alumni Membership:

     I hope all is going well with each of you. I have been happy to have spoken with quite a few of you who have personally reached out to me.

The conference committee and I are diligently working on planning your 2023 conference in Northern Kentucky. We are very excited about the training, speakers, and activities we are putting together.

     There is still a small amount of time to provide suggestions and thoughts about what you might like to have.  Email me at kim.klare@erlangerpd.com with your ideas.

We are planning a much larger vendor event at the conference. Our vendor partners are excited to participate and I expect some great door prizes.

     Also, the auxiliary is already planning some great events with spouses and children. We encourage you to extend your trip to Northern Kentucky and bring your family. The conference hotel rates are available two days before and after the conference. Northern Kentucky offers many great family activities to enjoy.

The Southern Police Institute Alumni Association Executive Board would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family, Spaulding County Sheriff's Office, classmates of the AOC 136th, and community served by Deputy Jamie Reynolds. We are sending our thoughts and prayers for this tragic loss. Rest in Peace brother.
