He represents companies, boards, and individuals in sensitive internal and government investigations and litigation, including cases arising under the Anti-Kickback Statute, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, Securities Exchange Act and False Claims Act. Chambers USA has characterized Zach as “exceptional in every regard,” “smart, strategic, creative, and responsive,” “willing to fight for his clients,” and “an outstanding attorney who knows how to leverage his prior experience as a federal prosecutor for the benefit of the client.” | BRIAN T. KELLY defends corporations and executives in federal and state investigations of all sorts, including SEC inquiries, insider trading charges, healthcare fraud cases, False Claims Act (FCA) allegations, internal corporate investigations, white-collar criminal defense, and NCAA compliance matters. He has tried dozens of federal cases, including, most notably, the James “Whitey” Bulger case to a successful conclusion. He also recently defended a parent in a federal trial arising from the Varsity Blues investigation, securing a favorable appellate ruling that reversed the conviction. | FRED WYSHAKarrived at Boston’s U.S. attorney’s office in 1989 after pursuing mobsters in New Jersey and was recruited by state police investigators to help do what no one else seemed willing to: go after notorious gangster James “Whitey” Bulger and his Winter Hill Gang. It was Wyshak and his colleagues’ impending racketeering indictment against Bulger, Salemme and Stephen “The Rifleman” Flemmi in 1995 that caused Bulger to disappear for the next 16 years, thanks to a tip from corrupt FBI agent John Connolly. Wyshak spent the next three decades securing convictions against Flemmi, Connolly, and finally, Bulger, who was captured in California at age 81 in 2011. |
